I'm almost ready to order my perfume kit. I've spent a few weeks researching and selecting each item, and here's what my kit will probably look like upon ordering:
Rose accord, Lily of the Valley accord, Violet accord, Cotton/Linen accord, Ylang Ylang key accord, Clove Bud essential oil, Freesia accord.
Top Notes
Almond accord, Pear accord, Peach accord, Red Apple accord, Bergamot accord, Blood Orange accord, Pink Pepper essential oil, Black Pepper essential oil.
Equipment
50 ml beaker 100 scent strips 20 sample vials 5-10 dram sized bottles for samples 3 bottles for finished perfume 50 ml perfumer's alcohol
Leather and Columbian Coffee are two very important base notes I'll buy next, as well as a plethora of fruity top notes I missed out on this time around. I'm trying not to overshoot my $60 limit - this *is* basically a business investment; I'm hoping to make a return on this purchase at some point. I also wanted a very tiny (still affordable) bottle of Mysore Sandalwood essence - this is one of the most beautiful, luxurious, and valuable ingredients to a perfumer, and as this particular type gets more and more rare, it grows exponentially more expensive. I'm looking forward to having a bottle just to cherish as I would a valuable piece of art or jewelry.
Wish me luck on this venture! (:
